Made of strong, durable materials. The Buddy Buoy outer shell is made of heavy-duty nylon fabric with double-stitched seams and nylon zippers. It measures 15 inches square by 4 inches thick.

The Buddy Buoy is a throw-able, type IV Personal Flotation Device (PFD). Type IV cushions are required aboard all boats, and are also intended for use at the shore.

Important. Throw-able PFDs are designed for areas where there is constant boat traffic and rescue is imminent. They can be thrown to someone who has fallen overboard. This type of device should be immediately available for emergencies and should not be used for small children, non-swimmer or unconscious victims.
